The TOUGHBOOK 40 features eight user-replaceable locations including the battery, memory, storage, keyboard and four expansion areas. The expansion area features several different types of xPAK’s including a barcode reader, optical drives, authentication readers, additional I/O, batteries and storage. All of the options in the eight modular areas provide 9,600 combinations to choose from. This unparalleled customization enables organizations to help futureproof, simplify ordering, shorten lead times and decrease downtime.
Connectivity Redefined: Choice of 4G or 5G Modem
The 4G modem supports LTE, LTE-A and speeds up to 2 Gbps. The 5G modem supports 4G (LTE, LTE-A) as well as 5G (Sub6, C-band) and speeds up to 4.1 Gbps. It seamlessly connects to the best available network without any disruption or intervention by the user. Both 4G and 5G modems support FirstNet® (band 14), CBRS Private LTE (band 48) and have dual SIM (physical SIM + eSIM) for maximum flexibility.
